WOW fusion is a Microneedling treatment that delivers a skincare formula mixed specifically for your skin, rather than a one-size-fits-all serum. Here’s how it works at our Bognor Regis clinic, what it can realistically do for your skin, and who it suits.
WOW fusion is a Microneedling device that lets us deliver targeted skincare solutions matched to your skin’s needs. It forms the needling stage of the six-step WOW Fusion®, and it can also be booked on its own.
The device was developed by WOW facial Ltd, founded by skincare entrepreneur Claire Williams. It exists because standard facials tend to treat every face the same way. Pairing the device with carefully selected ingredients means we can mix a formula for your skin, in front of you, on the day.
Choosing the right ingredients is the first step. The second is delivering them properly, which is what the device is for. Combining a bespoke skincare mix with gentle Microneedling is what produces the change in the skin.
The WOW fusion device is a small glass vial topped with a needle head. That head holds 20 titanium needles, 24-carat gold plated and just 0.13mm across, each with a fine spiral groove running down the outside. Your chosen solution travels down those grooves and into the skin, at the level where it does the most good.
Claire Thelwell, your practitioner at CLT Natural Aesthetics, will set the needle depth according to your skin concerns and what you want to achieve. The device is then pressed gently onto the treatment areas, releasing the solution just beneath the surface. Many clients notice more brightness and hydration straight away, and the skin usually continues to improve over the following weeks, particularly if you follow the skincare routine we recommend for home.
CLT Natural Aesthetics is an independent clinic on Thompson Road, Bognor Regis, seeing clients from Middleton-on-Sea, Felpham, Aldwick and across the Chichester and Arun area.
Aesthetic practice isn’t a regulated profession in the UK, so who treats you matters. Claire has over 30 years in clinical practice and holds a Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies, an Ofqual-regulated qualification equivalent to a master’s degree. She is a member of the ACE Group (Aesthetics Complications Experts) and an associate of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners.†
The approach here is deliberately restrained. The aim is skin that looks healthier and fresher, not a face that looks different.
Every treatment starts with an informal consultation, which is your chance to ask what the treatment involves and what it can and can’t do. If we think something else would suit you better, we’ll say so. Everyone ages differently and no two faces are the same, so we’re always happy to talk through alternatives.
Your skin may look a little pink or feel slightly warm immediately afterwards, which usually settles within a few hours. We’ll apply a high-factor SPF before you leave, and you should keep wearing it daily.
For the first 24 hours, avoid make-up, heavy exercise, swimming pools, saunas and direct sun. Skip acids and retinoids for a few days. We’ll give you specific aftercare based on the formula used, and you’re welcome to ring us if anything doesn’t feel right.
The appeal of WOW fusion is that nothing about it is off the shelf. Depending on the formula selected for you, treatment can help to:
Results vary from person to person, and depend on your skin, the ingredients chosen and how you look after your skin at home.
All treatments at CLT Natural Aesthetics are delivered with a strong focus on safety, professionalism and clinical care.
Claire’s medical background ensures that:
This ensures your skin is supported safely while achieving the best possible results.
Choosing a practitioner with the right training and experience is important when considering microneedling. The treatment works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin, so it’s important to understand your skin’s needs, assess whether the treatment is suitable and provide appropriate aftercare.
Claire Thelwell brings over 30 years of clinical experience to every appointment and has a strong background in aesthetic treatments. She takes the time to understand your concerns, explain what microneedling may realistically achieve and talk you through the treatment process.
CLT Natural Aesthetics is based in Bognor Regis. Claire carries out your consultation and treatment herself, providing personal care and aftercare throughout. There’s no hard sell, just honest advice about whether microneedling is the right choice for your skin.
You’ll still look like yourself, just more like the you that you recognise.

WOW fusion is most often used on the face, and can also be used on the neck and décolletage.
Most people find it very manageable. The needles are extremely fine, so the usual description is a light tapping or scratching sensation. Comfort varies from person to person, and we can apply numbing cream beforehand if you’re at all worried.
Allow around 90 minutes for the treatment itself, plus time for your consultation if it’s your first visit.
Skin usually looks its best in the weeks after treatment, with results lasting around 4-6 weeks before a top-up is recommended. Results can last longer, particularly if you’re having a course of treatment. Longevity also depends on your skin, your age and your home skincare routine.
That depends on your skin and what you want to achieve. Some clients book a single treatment ahead of an event, while those addressing texture or fine lines usually do better with a short course. Claire will recommend a realistic plan at your consultation.
There’s no need to take time off. Mild redness is normal and generally settles the same day, so most clients go back to normal activities straight away, avoiding make-up and exercise for the first 24 hours.
Treatment isn’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or breakout in the treatment area, a history of keloid scarring, or have taken oral isotretinoin in the last six months.† We’ll go through your full medical history at your consultation.
If you’d like to know whether WOW fusion is right for your skin, book a consultation or contact us and we’ll talk it through, with no obligation to book anything on the day.
